The Noisebridge (in Exile) AI Reading Group is a small group that meets to discuss topics in artificial intelligence and machine learning. We have a soft focus on embodied, social and agentic AI. We also enjoy alife and hybrid ALAI systems. And we maintain a bias towards engineering, science and projects, over business.
We currently meet about every month at
Gray Area in San Fransisco and explore various research papers and discuss ongoing advancements in AI. Each meeting features a presenter who gives a brief talk followed by an open discussion. After the discussion, there is two hours of chatting and co-working. The group is organized by
an evil steering committee.
If you'd like to suggest a paper or present one yourself, check out our
spreadsheet and make a suggestion. All communications take place on Discord
(join here & go to the Gray Area channel). We maintain a safe and welcoming environment for both beginner, intermediate and advanced ML practitioners; we have a zero tolerance policy for the regular standard isms (rascism, sexism, ableism, etc.).
